IMG_4081The Best Ski Town in my opinion….

Crested Butte is a little hidden Gem in Colorado – So lets let the crowds & their money go to Vail and Aspen.

Crested Butte hosts a number of unique festivals and parades throughout the year. These include Torchlight, New Years, Winter Carnival, Butte Bash College Ski Week and Mardi Gras to name a few! Check out their local calendar and programs

The mountain, Crested Butte, rises to 12,162 feet (3,707 m) above sea level. The ski area base is at 9,375 feet. 14 lifts serve 1,058 acres of terrain. 448 acres of that are double black runs. All this extreme skiing terrain has attracted the US Extreme Skiing Championships and the X Games thanks to the longest run on Mount Crested Butte being 2.6 miles long.

So, for the Extremest check check. For the rest of us the skiing is FABULOUS! The Dog Sledding is Supreme, the Ice Skating is Magical!

Let’s talk: Food * Drink * Sleep

Sleep: The Purple Mountain Bed and Breakfast is Crested Butte’s exclusive boutique hotel, conveniently located in the heart of downtown! I love it & it’s the best! One of the Best VBRO’s is The Crested Butte Lodge  For a more mainstream ski-in ski-out experience it’s simply the Elevation Resort

Eats & Drinks: Best Cocktails & Apps at The Dogwood  * Best Pizza at The Secret Stash Pizzeria * Best Romantic dinner at Soupçon * Best Tapas Djangos * Best Italian Marchitelli’s *  and of course coffee at Camp 4 Coffee
